51 PTI activists arrested in Karachi by Sindh Police

KARACHI: Sindh Police have launched a crackdown on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists in Karachi.

In the last two days, around 51 PTI workers have been arrested during the raids in different areas of Karachi.

As per details, five workers have so far been arrested from Karachi’s Eastern District, including National Assembly member Saif-ur-Rehman and his coordinator.

Police have raided six places in Gharbi district and arrested four PTI workers, including National Assembly member Attaullah.

So far 13 arrests have been made from Kemari district including Faisal Wawda’s coordinator

Eleven arrests have been made in the southern district, including the nephew of National Assembly member Aftab Jahangir.

On the other hand, more than 400 officials of the anti-rights force were deployed in and around the Numaish square along with the lady police officers.

Rapid Response Force personnel have also been summoned to the exhibition square, police sources said.
