ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday has presented Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser a constitutional amendment bill for the establishment of South Punjab Province.
Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri was also present on the occasion.
The Speaker directed to make the bill part of the agenda of the house on Monday, at the request of the Foreign Minister.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi while giving remarks stated that the establishment of South Punjab province is part of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-election Insaf (PTI)’s manifesto.
According to Shah Mahmood Qureshi, he has presented the constitutional amendment bill to the speaker on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s instructions. He said that today we fulfilled yet another promise made to the people of South Punjab.
