Hangu by-poll victory indicates people totally rejected imported govt: Hasaan Khawar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate, Nadeem Khayal has won the by-election on vacant seat of NA-33 in Hangu.

As per preliminary result of all polling stations issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan, the PTI candidate Nadeem Khayal secured 20,772 votes while Jamiat Ulema e Islam-F (JUI-F) candidate Ubaidullah got 18,244 votes.

The seat had fallen vacant due to the death of PTI’s Member National Assembly Khayal Zaman in February 2022.

Additional Secretary Information PTI Hasaan Khawar said the results of NA-33 Hangu indicated that the dignified and conscious people of Pakistan had totally rejected the imported government.

He also reminded that since the PTI leaders had resigned from the NA in protest against ouster of their chairman from the office of Prime Minister as a result of no-confidence motion, so the winning candidate will also follow suit.

“Remember that the winning candidates of the PTI will resign after taking oath. There is no precedent for such selfless trust in leadership,” Hasaan tweeted.

Meanwhile, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has demanded immediate general elections in the country.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that there was no need to further delay the elections. He also said that if there was any flaw in the electoral system, then it should be reformed using power of the government.
