Hariyali Chicken Curry Recipes




1. Hara Dhania (coriander leaves) ½ bunch
2. Podina (mint leaves) ½ bunch
3. Hari mirch (green chilies) 3-4 or to taste
4. Dahi (yogurt) ½ cup • Oil 2 tbs
5. Sabut garam masala (whole spice) 1 tsp
6. Pyaz (onion) chopped 1
7. Adrak lehsun (ginger garlic) paste 1 tsp
8. Chicken ½ kg • Namak (salt) 1 tsp or to taste
9. Greens & yogurt mixture
10/ Water 1-2 tbs
11. Zeera (cumin) powder ½ tsp
12. Garam masala (whole spice) powder ½ tsp
13. Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) 1 tsp


1. In a blender, add coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies and yogurt and blend until combine.
2. Set aside In a pan, heat oil, add whole spices and fry.
3. Add onions and fry until translucent.
4. Add ginger garlic paste and fry until onions are brown.
5. Add chicken and fry until chicken changes color.
6. Add Salt and and green yogurt mixture and mix well.
7. Add 2 tbs water and cover to cook for 10-15 minutes until chicken is tender.
8. Add cumin powder and whole spice powder and dried fenugreek leaves.
9. Mix well for a minute and turn off the flame. Hariyali chicken is ready to serve.
