CHARSADDA: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday threatened police officers of revenge for torturing and firing teargas shells on “peaceful protestors” of the Azadi March.
Addressing a rally in Charsadda, Imran Khan said those who lost their lives during the Azadi March were martyr for they sacrificed their lives in the struggle for freedom from the American government.
He said, “We have seen all the hurdles and those who are oppressors. The CCPO, DG Operations of Lahore and Rawalpindi and IG Islamabad who tortured us. Pictures of each one of them is before my eyes. We will not spare you. Your time will come.”
The former prime minister said Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah escaped despite butchering 14 people and firing bullets on 70 others because a cartel was protecting him. But not this time you will be saved. Neither you, nor the Sharif Mafia and nor the police officers who tortured people, he said.
He said the imported government would not be accepted, rain or shine. They would bring Shehbaz, Rana Sanaullah and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz to justice, he said. “We will send you behind the bars.”
They would prepare for everything now, next time he would be fully ready, he said.
“Because we did not know that it will happen when the Supreme Court had said that it was our democratic right to hold a protest, therefore we were not prepared,” he said.
Imran Khan said the manner in which the shells were used against the people, it was never happened in a country.
“I can assure now that no obstacle will come in the way of our protest. First we are approaching the Supreme Court,” he said adding that a peaceful protest was their right. “If we are not given our right, we will snatch it now,” he maintained.
“Gear up everyone, I am also preparing. We consider struggle for the true independence a jihad. Women, children and other people took to street despite they fired 35,000 teargas shells,” he said.
The PTI chief said the slaves of the US first rose prices of petrol and diesel. Then, the imported government ended the deal that their government had made with Russia to buy oil and gas on 30 per cent less rates, he said.
“Today a picture is circulating which shows a Pakistani delegation for the first time has visited Israel. When the slaves of America would sit in the power they would do everything ordered by the Uncle Sam,” said slamming the coalition government.
