The beautiful city of Jhelum is located on the right bank of river Jhelum and is connected by Railway tracks and Road tracks. There are many worth seeing places in Jhelum like Rohtas Fort, which was constructed by General Sher Shah Suri in the 16th century. It is one of the six UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Pakistan and is declared as an exceptional example of the Muslim military architecture of Central and South Asia. Khewra salt Mine of Jhelum is the oldest and second-largest salt mine in the world. Alexander the great discovered it in 320 BC. It has great importance for educational trips along with tourists. Mangla Dam is another must-visit place in Jhelum. It gives a mesmerizing view. This city has an ancient Gurdwara Bhai Karam Singh.
