Legendary Actor, Comedian Umar Sharif Passes Away

Veteran comedian, and legendary entertainer, Umer Sharif, has passed away after a prolonged illness.


The news of his death was confirmed by renowned journalist, Waseem Badami.

Umer Sharif was earlier admitted to a hospital in Germany’s Nuremberg after his health condition deteriorated during his flight to the United States. He was originally going to be transported to the US via air ambulance but he was admitted to a hospital in Germany after his condition deteriorated.

Soon after the news of the death of Umer Sharif broke, artists from all over the subcontinent offered condolences.

Umer Sharif made his mark not just in Pakistan but all over the subcontinent with his distinct take on humor. His stage plays ‘Bakra Qiston Per’ and ‘Buddha Ghar Pe Hai’ instantly captured the attention of the audiences and made him popular in the masses.

He spread happiness & laughter in his lifetime and kept entertaining the audiences with his plays and talk shows. The Legend will be remembered forever.
