Not Imran, govt to decide on elections with allies: Atta

LAHORE: Punjab government Spokesperson Attaullah Tarar said on Thursday that the decision regarding the elections would be taken after consultation with the coalition.

He released his statement in response to the deadline given by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supremo and maintained that Imran Khan will not decide the date of the elections.

“It is not you who will fix the polls, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will decide in consultation with the allies,” he added persistently. Not only this, the PML-N leader also admonished PTI chief to leave politics after the tragedy that befell the Azadi March.

He also opined that Imran Khan has pushed PTI towards a dead end and fell into the pit he dug for others.

While touching on the disturbances that occurred last night (Wednesday), he warned that cases would be registered against the perpetrators of vandalism.

Attaullah Tarar also said that Imran Khan’s frustrated face and trembling voice revealed that he has accepted the defeat.
