ISLAMABAD: PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman backtracked from his stance and demanded immediate elections in the country.
The ruling coalition was initially against the elections but now Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JUI-F has back-pedaled and said that there was no need to further delay the elections.
The JUI-F chief also said that if there was any flaw in the electoral system, then it should be reformed.
Fazlur Rehman while indicating a split, maintained that the ruling coalition temporarily came into power and it’s their responsibility to return the trust to the nation.
It should be noted that JUI has its existence in the present government.
The statement given by JUI chief has been a hint toward a split of the PDM that was a joint movement to topple former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government.
