Ingredients

1. Oil 2-3 tbs
2. Laung (Cloves) 4
3. Darchini (Cinnamon stick) 1
4. Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) 4
5. Badi elaichi (Black cardamom) 2
6. Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp
7. Chicken 700 gms
8. Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 tbs
9. Tamatar (Tomato) Pureed 3-4
10. Tomato paste 1 tbs (Optional)
11. Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
12. Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp
13. Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp
14. Anardana powder (Dried pomegranate powder) 1 tsp
15. Pani (Water) 2-3 Cups or as required
16. Pyaz (Onion) Fried & hand crushed 1
17. Tandoori naan (Cube) 1-2
18. Dahi (Yogurt) Whisked ¾ Cup
19. Tadka: -Oil 3-4 tbs -Lehsan (Garlic) Chopped 1 tbs
20. Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp
21. Lal mirch (Button red chilies) 4-5
22. Rai dana (Mustard seeds) ¼ tsp (Optional)
23. Methi dana (Fenugreek seeds) ¼ tsp (Optional)
24. Hara dhania (Green coriander) Chopped 2 tbs
25. Hari mirch (Green chilies) Chopped 1-2

Directions

1. In pot,add oil,whole spices,chicken and ginger garlic paste,mix until chicken changes color.
2. Add tomato puree and tomato paste,cook for 1-2 minutes.
3. Add salt,turmeric powder,red chili powder,dried pomegranate powder and mix well.
4. Add water,cover and cook until chicken is done (10-15 minutes).
5. Add fried onion and naan cubes and mix well,simmer for 1-2 minutes.
6. Dish out in serving dish and spread a layer of yogurt.
7. In frying pan,add oil,garlic,cumin seeds,button red chilies,mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds,mix well and pour tadka on peshawari chicken.
8. Garnish with green coriander and green chilies.
9. Peshawari chicken is ready.
