KARACHI: In the wee hours of Saturday, Karachi police raided the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Alamgir Khan.
As per details, the police reached the residence of the PTI leader, however, no arrest was made.
PTI leadership expressed grave concerns about the raid conducted by the police by saying that the “imported government” would be held accountable soon.
Ali Haider Zaidi tweeted that sending police to Bani Gala was a foolish move. Alamgir’s house was also raided last night without any search warrant.
“All this was expected from the time when mafia lords like Rana Sanaullah became Home Minister,” he added.
On the other hand, Police conducted a late-night search on Friday at the residence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan after his power-packed public rally at Multan.
It was also reported that a large number of vehicles of security agencies were also present in the squad that arrived at his residence.
However, the heavy contingent of police had to face intense reprisal by the PTI activists who have settled camps around Bani Gala. Not only this, the PTI stalwarts also chanted slogans against the incumbent government.
