Snoop Dogg reveals upcoming song collaboration with BTS

Fans of BTS and Snoop Dogg are in for some exciting news. The hip-hop icon himself has confirmed collaboration between the two, and fans are ecstatic. Snoop Dogg stated on the red carpet of the American Song Contest on Monday that a collaboration with the South Korean boy band is in the works.

Snoop said while talking to The AV Club, “The BTS experience you keep talking about. I’m going to let them tell you about it. It’s official, like a referee with a whistle. I love that entertainment world. It’s good music. It’s [a] vibe. I make good music. They make good music. And we end up doing this. This is what it’s always about, bringing our worlds together.”

The 50-year-old rapper was unaware of BTS’s worldwide success and had to enlist the help of his nephew to learn more about them. Snoop told The AV Club, “I’ve been experiencing the K-pop experience for a long time, connected to the music world [and] scene. I got a record with a group called 2NE1 back in the day. Come on now, it’s what I do.”

In a January interview with the Mogul Talk podcast, Snoop Dogg revealed that he had gotten a request for a collaboration from the K-pop group. Snoop continued, “I got a group named BTS that’s waiting on me to do a song with them right now. And I’m trying to figure out if I got time to do that.”
